1897年红印花3分小字加盖当壹圆邮票

预计将刷新单枚中国邮票拍卖世界纪录

香港苏黎世亚洲(Zurich Asia)宣布，将于2009年9月18日及19日假香港怡东酒店举行“中国、香港、亚洲及其他国家邮票和邮政史”秋季拍卖会，呈献1,500批总估值逾1,200万港元的珍罕中国和亚洲邮品。

苏黎世亚洲董事Louis Mangin先生表示：“近十年来苏黎世亚洲已成为亚洲首屈一指的邮票拍卖行，我们十分高兴将于九月在香港推出精心搜罗的珍稀邮品。我们之前举行的多场拍卖均创下佳绩，反映出香港和亚洲市场对稀有邮品需求甚殷。是次秋拍确是一个难得的好时机，让亚洲藏家搜集来源优良及极具收藏价值的珍品。”

秋拍的焦点为一枚1897年红印花3分小字加盖当壹圆邮票，在原加盖50枚票中仅32枚有纪录，于市场上甚为罕见，弥足珍贵，是集邮家梦寐以求的藏品。此枚邮票估价高达1,800,000-2,000,000港元，预计可创下单枚中国邮票拍卖最高成交价世界纪录。

直至1896年止，中国的邮政服务乃由海关提供。国家邮政于1897年2月20日成立，由海关邮政所发行的邮票遂告无效，因此急需新邮票应用。但向伦敦华德路父子公司订购的新邮票又进程缓慢，当局遂将前海关邮票加盖暂作洋银使用。然而此等邮票的数量仍不够应用，尤其是当国家邮政服务扩展到汇兑、包裹和保价邮件后，对高额邮票的需求大增。为了应付所需，遂将所存印而未用的3分红印花税票，加盖暂作洋银作为邮票使用。最先加盖者为小字当壹圆。加盖少量后，觉得以如此细小中文字体加盖为如此高额的邮票甚为不妥，因此决定改用较大的字体加盖面值。这次出售的就是这些1897红印花小字加盖票中极佳的一枚。

是次拍卖亦推出一个逾50年的重要私人珍藏，当中囊括大量精品。备受瞩目的为多套具有重大历史价值及趣味的中华帝国邮票。1915年12月，当时中华民国总统袁世凯僭升帝位，自立中华帝国，改1916年为洪宪元年。后因各省反对，遂于1916年3月22日取销帝制，他亦死于同年6月。洪宪期间曾印就数款邮票，未及正式发行，即行销毁。这次呈献的为历来拍卖会上推出最完整的大全套，每批存世仅知的只有三或四套，而无齿样票更是首见及可能是孤品。
